Identifying what qualifications/training to undertakeSchool Support StaffThe TDA has developed a tool to identify appropriate qualifications available for all school support staff roles, ranging from level 1 to level 7. However if you are currently working within a school we recommend that before accessing any training you consult with your Local Authority as many adopt set qualification requirements for specific job roles. Locating Training ProvidersThis section is specifically to help members of the children’s workforce to locate CPD opportunities and providers in their area. Potential funding available for trainingApprenticeships100% funding is available from approved training providers for individuals aged 16 –18 hoping to undertake an apprenticeship. Part funding is also available for Individuals aged 19 or over. Download details (.pdf,671KB)(opens in a new window) Train to GainTrain to Gain funding is available from approved training providers for individuals who do not already have a level 2 or equivalent qualification to undertake a Level 2 NVQ fully funded. There may also be further funding available for NVQs at Level 2 and 3 depending on the qualifications already held by the individual.
